Many businesses are seeking to reduce their vendor base. The advantages derived mean that the customer expects to see heightened levels or service and commitment from its suppliers as they concentrate more business through their reduced population of suppliers.
This vendor reduction process would be helped enormously if it were possible to buy all components relating to interconnection from one supplier.
