Aerco Blowers Utilise Peltier Effect

imagesThis effect bears the name of Jean-Charles Peltier (a French physicist) who discovered in 1834, the calorific effect of an electrical current at the junction of two different metals. When a current is made to flow through the circuit, heat is evolved at the upper junction and absorbed at the lower junction. Therefore when a voltage is applied to a Peltier cell on surface becomes hot and the other cold, heat is therefore absorbed by the cold face and travels through to the hot side. This action can be utilised by placing the cell in the wall of the equipment or with added heat sinks. Fans can then be used to form compact heat exchangers.

Heat Pipes
Heat pipes are an evacuated pipe part filled with a liquid and wick. The pipe is passive and acts as a condensor and evaporator. When heat is applied the liquid will turn into a vapour and travel through the pipe.

The latest blowers from AERCO have been designed to work with both types of heat transfer and can assist the heat transfer at either the input or output sides of exchangers. The blowers have a design of Bearing called the HYPRO which can easliy work at the typical temperatures found on these applications. The vital ’3rd wire’ is standard so the user can have immediate warning of failure or over limit temperature.
